| GANU Ganu and her sister were both very young when their mother died leaving the girls with their illiterate and homeless father. They were deprived of education, food, and care. The father took the girls to Kathmandu where he left the sister at a carpet factory notorious for sexual abuse and left Ganu at a relative’s residence. When the father finally returned with another wife he took Ganu back where she was severely neglected. Gaynu was brought to the P.R.C. when she was 6 by a friend. The P.R.C. has contacted the family several times to see if they would want to see their daughter or have her visit. They decline every time. |
