| Here is a portion of a letter we received. I hope this blesses you as it did us. Dear Colette; I met you at the WMU Conference in Gatlinburg,TN last weekend. I was touched and stirred by your presentation and by the plight of these little ones who are harmed for the gain and pleasure of jaded humanity. I have been praying about helping your ministry financially. I am a widow, working and living from pay check to pay check like so many today, however, this morning after praying about your ministry, I read Psalm 72. Verse 4 says "He will bring justice to the poor of the people and He will rescue children of the needy and will break in pieces the oppressor." Verses 13 & 14 say " He will spare the poor and needy and will rescue the souls of the needy. He will redeem their life from oppression and violence, and precious shall be their blood in His sight." I then read my devotional. It was Strength for the Journey by Joseph Stowell who is the president to Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. Today's devotional was about compassion and helping those who are on the front line of compassionate ministries. The last line said " What could you do to partner with a compassion ministry? I believe that God has answered my prayer. I already give to several other worthwhile ministries that God has laid on my heart, He has also laid your mission on my heart. I cannot give a lot, but will commit to $20.00 per month and will pray for you and those who are out there working the front line. Janette |
